Picture Relief Metal Plaques

These plaques are a viable alternative to traditional clay molded sand cast metal plaques. Their delivery is quicker, are often less expensive (depending on size of plaque as well as image), and maintain the fidelity of the picture submitted in comparison. PictureRelief plaques feature raised or recessed lettering, satin-finished top surfaces, and are suitable for interior & exterior use. They are ideal if a sculptured image is desired with a quick timeframe. Note that the raised, pictorial dimension is less than traditional clay molded sand cast bas reliefs. PictureRelief plaque images are about 3/32" thick (as opposed to 3/8" thick for true bas reliefs), depending on the provided photographs and their contrast.

Traditionally-cast bas relief plaques are a better approach if your plaque is text-only and/or involves large amounts of text and you have a greater schedule. We offer that as well, as seen on Bas relief Page. PictureRelief plaques require about a month to ship after production proof approval. With cast metal plaques using true bas reliefs, the entire process takes 6-8 weeks to ship. Maximum size in one piece is 72" x 36" for PictureRelief. We're affiliated with multiple manufacturers offering a largely parity product and will utilize the one best suited for your project. Styles & finishes vary.

Love the plaque above? So do we. You will see little like it on the internet. It appears to be a cast bas relief plaque with antique finish. Instead, it's a PictureRelief plaque, created with vector art (production line art), instead of a photograph, as is the norm for PictureCast plaques.

ORDERING CRITERIA:

	The number of photos used depends on the size of the plaque, your budget – and ultimately what is aesthetically pleasing. For plaques under 480 square inches, an additional cost of $299 per image applies. Otherwise, additional images are $250 each. Price will increase if we are involved in any photo retouching.
	Customers need to to rank photographs in order of importance, with #1 being the most important such as #1 – Building exterior, #2 – musical instruments, etc. Customers are supplied with proofs and before any plaque is placed into production customers must provide written approval.
	If only a portion of the photo is to be, that portion must be clearly specified.
	Photocopies cannot be used. It's important that the highest quality photos will produce the highest quality plaque image.
	Choose a resolution of 150 dpi – 300 dpi for a standard size photo (approximately 3.5” x 5”). We accept EPS, PSD, JPEG, Bitmap & TIFF files.

PRICING: With some exceptions:

Bronze: Below 160 sq": $6.70 per sq. inch (psi); Above 160 sq": $5.00 psi. Aluminum: Below 160 sq": $5.00 psi; Above 160 sq": $4.00 psi. One single example out of infinite possible sizes: A 12" x 18" is 12 times 18 = 216 square inches x $5.00 psi. = $1,080 in bronze; the same plaque in aluminum: $864. MINIMUM ORDER: $499.
