Etched Halftone: The image is a
halftone on an etched plaque, then attached to the cast plaque.
Etching process allows to replicate your photograph, line drawing or
complex artwork. Halftone portraits resemble newspaper
photographs, and have visible dot patterns. Best photographs for
halftone etched portraits: High contrast with bright white areas,
dense black ones & minimal grey tones. Monotones will produce poor
results.
Etched Halftone up to 5" x 7": $299. |
MetalPhoto uses a photosensitive aluminum sheet, available
in satin or gold-tone aluminum. Sheet is exposed using a film negative
made from a photograph using a UV light source. Image is produced in a
permanent image on the plate. These portraits
resemble magazine photographs and have no visible dot patterns, and
beat etched halftones hands down. Largest size available: 20"
x 24". Available in Silvertone or SunFast Gold. MetalPhoto portrait up
to 10": Add $159.

PictureRelief Portrait: These portraits have a minor
sculptural aspect to them...and look exactly like the provided photo.
This is a mechanical process and requires less time and generally less
money than a bas relief plaque. They can either be 1) made and
attached to the base casting, or 2) depending on circumstances, the
entire plaque could be a PictureRelief. Up to 10" as attachment: Add
$549. |
Emblems: Options to add a custom emblem or logo to your
plaque: 1) The plaque can be made with the emblem/logo as part of the
cast plaque, per "Trojan" upper left & above examples. Detail is limited by the casting process. No extra charge
if you provide the line art; add $25 if we have to create vector art
of it. 2) Do the emblem/logo on a separate
etched or MetalPhoto piece, then attach to the base cast plaque. This method has
nearly no detail restrictions. Visit
